I was walking down the stairs in the dorm rooms at the college, and I came across a piece of paper hanging up in the window. It said "take what you need" in big bold letters. It had little slits cut at the bottom with words on them. The paper was bright green and very noticeable. Almost all of the tassels at the bottom of the paper were gone. There were two little flaps still left, I grabbed the one that said confidence and kept walking on. I kinda rolled it around in my pocket, and I got to thinking. Is it really that easy to just have confidence like that? I still have the little piece of paper. I don't know how to a little piece of paper could completely change my view on the whole world! My whole day went a lot better. Practice was great, my classes seemed to fly by, and even going to work wasn't as bad as normal! I can't decide what made my day go better the fact that I literally had confidence in my pocket, or if I really just felt better, or what. I do know that more woman should be confident in themselves. My friend and I went to see God's not Dead the other day, it was really good I highly recommend seeing it. It answered a lot of my questions, and it didn't try to shove religion down your throat. Anyway there is a scene where a lady is talking to her pastor about her boyfriend. They discuss whether she thinks she is good enough or not and the pastor asks her, "Do you think God is capable of making a mistake?" The lady responds "No" and he replies "How can you believe that God made you less than perfect?" I almost cried. It made so much sense though. God made us perfect for the lives that we are in. We are perfect in God's eyes, so what does it matter how someone else see's us? We need no one else's approval, and it just made me feel beautiful. It really made me just happy to know that I am beautiful, and perfect to someone no matter what! There isn't anything else I know that can give a girl more confidence than knowing she looks good. I know this sounds so silly, but a lot of times, the only time I ever actually dress up is when I'm headed to a rodeo. If I look good, I feel amazing, and ready to kick some ass. I know it doesn't make me rope any faster, ride any better, or tie quicker, but it sure makes me feel good. It boosts my confidence a hundred fold. Feel good, look good, do good! That's my new motto! (Except on lazy days, some days it's just nice to look like a bum.)
Have a great day!
