Raring to go!

My first spring rodeo is right around the corner! I am a mess of excitement, nerves, and anticipation.  My horses are starting to get back into the swing of things and today was the best practice I have had all spring! I have 2 days left of practice and then on the road we go!   I had to miss this rodeo last year, due to some trouble I ran into, but not this year!  Our woman's team here at CSC is looking pretty darn good this year!  The top three goat tiers in this region are all from here and we have some pretty woofy ropers this year as well! All of our confidence is slowly being built as we hit the gym and the arena for some pretty tough work! I am very proud of all the girls on the team for pushing through some of the troubles we had. Two of us had broken jacks on our trailers last week, my lovely boyfriend is taking to get mine fixed tomorrow! What a doll who says all men are good for only chute help and holding goats?  ;) One girl jackknifed her trailer, the bearing went out in one girls pickup and another had 3 injectors go out!  It really great how our rodeo TEAM came together to help each other out and give rides to one another to practice, work, class and to go feed! I hate when people say rodeo isn't a team sport, well this is proof that we are!  By passing on our positive attitudes to one another and helping others out, we are a team! We make sure that we all get to the rodeos in the best shape we can, we cheer each other on, and we take care of each other.  That is what a team does!  That is what we are!   I feel very blessed to have such a great team and a rodeo family!
I hope everyone has a great day, I am off to finish laundry and some homework as well!
